This comprehensive course provides an in-depth overview of the history of personal data protection in Africa, with a particular focus on the specific challenges and practices in each region. You will explore the existing laws and regulations, as well as the definitions of key concepts in data protection.

Prerequisites

This course does not require any prerequisites; it is designed for anyone who wishes to gain a better understanding of the history and key principles of data protection in Africa.

Evaluation and certification

At the end of the course, you will find a multiple-choice exam. Achieving a passing score of 75% or higher will earn you a certificate of completion.

Africa Data Protection [ADP] is the author of this course, which is subject to the French Intellectual Property Code. According to Article L122-4, “any full or partial representation or reproduction made without the consent of the author [ADP] or their successors or assigns is unlawful.” Therefore, any representation or reproduction, by any means, requires prior written authorization from Africa Data Protection. Otherwise, the author would be guilty of counterfeiting, as punishable under Articles L335-2 and following of the Intellectual Property Code.
